Magath hints at Diego stay
Wolfsburg boss Felix Magath insists Diego will remain at the club unless there are any developments in the next few days.
The 27-year-old spent last season on-loan at Atletico Madrid and it was thought that the Spanish outfit might come in and make the move permanent over the summer.
But, with time running out before the window closes, there has been no contact with the capital club and the Brazilian is back training with his Wolfsburg team-mates.
And Magath has made it clear that the former Juventus schemer will remain at the Volkswagen Arena even if doubts remain over his stamina.
"The questions concerning a deal for Diego will occupy us for another two or three days," he said. "But if there's nothing by then, he'll stay.
"We have seen again that he has no stamina, even if in footballing terms he is a delight."
