Marin excited by Chelsea challenge

Werder Bremen midfielder Marko Marin admits he cannot wait to play for Chelsea after confirming his switch to Stamford Bridge.

The 23-year-old has already agreed terms with the Blues, he has passed a medical in west London and is expected to sign his new contract in the next couple of weeks. He could well be the first of a new influx of players to the club, as whoever is in charge of first-team affairs looks to revamp an ageing squad. Marin admits he enjoyed his time with Werder but is now relishing the chance to show what he can do in arguably the best league in the world. "I had a really good time with Werder together with many great guys here, and I have lots of nice memories," he said. "But of course I am looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Premier League with such an established club."
