Former Bayern striker Roy Makaay feels Arjen Robben should return to his club after Euro 2012 and prove his doubters wrong.

The former Chelsea star was booed by a section of the Bayern faithful while playing for Holland against the Bavarians in a friendly on Tuesday. Club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has already apologised to the 28-year-old winger, who missed a penalty in the Champions League final with Chelsea that cost Bayern the trophy. There were reports that the former Real Madrid star might be tempted to jump ship after his treatment at the Allianz Arena but Makaay, who played four seasons with Bayern, believes he should move on from the incident and return to Bavaria with the intention of silencing the crowd. "Arjen should just let this pass. He has to remain calm and score twice in his next important game for Bayern, he told Telegraaf. "He should focus on Oranje and Euro 2012 for now, then enjoy his holiday, and then return to Bayern and prove his worth."
