Podolski joins Gunners

Cologne have confirmed Lukas Podolski will join Arsenal this summer for an undisclosed fee.

Podolski's arrival will bolster Arsene Wenger's attacking options, with Arsenal relying heavily on Robin van Persie at times this season. The Arsenal boss will be hoping the signing convinces the Dutchman that the club mean business ahead of next season. Podolski admitted a move to the Premier League was too good to turn down. "The move to Arsenal gives me the opportunity to play at international level in a top European club," Podolski told Cologne's official website. "The decision for this step is not easy for me because FC Koln, the city and the fans are very special for me."
