Raul the best ever - Magath

Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath believes Spanish striker Raul is the best foreign player ever to play in the Bundesliga.
The former Spain international moved to the Veltins-Arena in the summer of 2010, while Magath was still in charge of the Royal Blues. After two seasons and 37 goals for Schalke, the 34-year-old has decided not to extend his contract beyond the end of the current campaign and bid farewell to the fans after their 4-0 win over Hertha Berlin on Saturday. Despite his relatively short time in the Bundesliga, Magath feels the striker is still the number one foreign import, ahead of the likes of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. "We have never seen a better foreigner in the Bundesliga in my opinion. Even if you compare him to players like Robben and Ribery, he's on another level," Magath said. "He is one of the few players who is aware of everything that's happening around him. That's why he doesn't really need pace, because he's always one step ahead of his opponent. "Luring Raul to the Bundesliga is one of the highlights of my career."
