Shaqiri wants ruthless Bayern

Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri has called on his new side to be ruthless next season.

The Switzerland international joined the German giants from Swiss champions Basel this summer and already has his sights set on making an impact in every competition. "It is important to have the desire to win every game, and come out victorious in the crucial duels. Bayern were unable to do this last season," Shaqiri told Goal.com. "We have every position occupied pretty well, and we desperately want to win the Bundesliga title." Bayern were in the hunt for silverware on three fronts last term but fell agonisingly short and ended the season with nothing. Bayern meet Dortmund on August 12 to contest the first official silverware of the season, the DFL-Supercup.
