Schalke boss Huub Stevens says his players will need to be more adventurous if they're to beat Bayern Munich on Saturday.
The Gelsenkirchen side have made a strong start to the campaign, taking seven points from their three league matches as well as winning their opening game in the Champions League against Olympiacos on Tuesday. They now host Bundesliga leaders Bayern at the weekend and Stevens has urged his side not to fear their illustrious opponents. "Confidence alone isn't enough to beat Bayern. Our results in the first few games have been good but we still have some inconsistencies in our play," Stevens told the official Schalke website. "We have to play with courage and belief. We've no reason to be afraid of Bayern. Fear is a bad counsellor."
