Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke says the players who didn't play at Euro 2012 will be extra determined to prove themselves.
Four of Dortmund's title winning side were selected by Joachim Loew for the tournament in Poland and Ukraine but only Mats Hummels featured regularly as Die Mannschaft crashed out in the semi-finals.
Mario Gotze got just 10 minutes in the win over Greece, while both Ilkay Gundogan and Marcel Schmelzer failed to appear at all.
Watzke believes that after such a strong campaign, his players were unfairly treated but will come back more determined to prove themselves next season.
"I can understand that they are really frustrated, but I don't believe that Gundogan, Schmelzer and Gotze will be hung up about the Euros," Watzke told Bild. "The three of them have strong character and will be very motivated after this experience."
