Werder eye Elia deal

Werder Bremen have made a new improved bid for out-of-favour Juventus winger Eljero Elia.

The Dutch international moved to Turin last summer but has failed to settle with the Bianconeri and is now looking for a way out after recently handing in a transfer request.
Elia previously made his name with Hamburg and his form was so good that he even played for the Netherlands in the 2010 World Cup final.
After failing to shine in Italy, he has now become the target of a number of German clubs and Werder previously had a bid believed to be around 7.5million euros rejected for him.
Bremen have now come back with an improved bid and Thomas Schaff is hopeful that a deal can be done as he believes he's the man to reignite the talented winger's career.
