Agent ruled out keeper deal

Burnley, 16:22, June 25, 2010 ,

Burnley's hopes of landing Lee Grant have been hit by the news the goalkeeper's agent says he is staying with Sheffield Wednesday.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from Wednesday following their relegation to League One and former Owls boss Brian Laws, who is now in charge of the Clarets, is thought to be keen.
However the player's agent Gino Culbertson has played down the reports and insists his client is happy at Hillsborough.
"This speculation keeps cropping up because of the Brian Laws connection," he told the Sheffield Star. "I think everyone knows that Brian is a big fan of Lee's so it is only natural that it will keep cropping up.
"But Lee is a Sheffield Wednesday player and very happy at the club. Lee's sole focus is on getting in tip-top shape for the upcoming season."
