Burnley's Mills interest hots up

Burnley are understood to be lining up a bid to sign Doncaster defender Matt Mills as Owen Coyle looks for defensive reinforcements.

The Rovers centre-back impressed many with his performances for Sean O'Driscoll's side last season, with Nottingham Forest already making a failed bid for the player this summer.
Now Premier League new boys Burnley, who have already signed Hibs' Steven Fletcher, Derby's Tyrone Mears and Newcastle's David Edgar this week, are believed to be showing an interest in the former Manchester City man.
