Cousin set for Clarets loan

Burnley, 12:42, August 31, 2009 ,

Burnley are close to sealing a deal which will take Hull striker Daniel Cousin to Turf Moor on a season-long loan.

The 32-year-old Gabon international has fallen out of favour at the KC Stadium after a slight fall-out with Tigers boss Phil Brown during the recent 5-1 home defeat to Tottenham. And with the Tigers set to sign Manchester City star Benjani, Cousin has been cleared to leave.
The former Rangers man is set to join the Clarets where he will help beef up Owen Coyle's forward options at the Premier League new boys.
"I think they have put an offer in for a loan," Cousin's agent Willie McKay confirmed.
