Money the key for Fox switch
Burnley, 10:28, February 2, 2010 ,
New Burnley signing Danny Fox believes money issues forced his departure from Parkhead but can't wait to play in the Premiership.
The defender looks likely to make his debut against West Ham at Turf Moor on Saturday following his switch from the Hoops.
The Scottish international believes he may still be in Scotland if not for the money but he is looking forward to his Premiership debut.
"It was an opportunity I couldn't really turn down myself," he revealed. "Players from all over the world want to come and play in the Premier League.
"My relationship with Tony Mowbray was fine. He is a very honest man. I am grateful for him for taking me to Celtic. I enjoyed playing under him along with Mark Venus and Peter Grant.
"It was a great learning curve playing in front of 60,000 people. It is quite intimidating but makes you a lot stronger mentally as well."
