Striker deal done
Burnley, 11:25, June 2, 2010 ,
Burnley boss Brian Laws has hailed the signing of striker Chris Iwelumo and claims his signing is a 'fantastic addition' to the side.
The 31-year-old Scottish striker has had two years of contrasting fortunes at Molineux with a successful season in the Championship followed by a frustrating time in the Premiership.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, who still wants to prise Steven Fletcher from the Clarets, has praised his outgoing striker and wished him well.
Meanwhile Clarets boss Brian Laws is delighted to have landed his target, he said: "Chris is not a gamble, he's proven in the Championship and has been promoted four times.
''He's also averaged about 15 goals a season which tells you he can play.
"His link-up play and knowledge of the game are great and he will be fantastic for the dressing room. He's a winner and we want winners.''
