Jimmy Phillips has signed a new two-year contract at Burton.

Phillips, along with fellow midfielder Jack Dyer, was the first player to be offered a new deal by manager Gary Rowett but it has taken the 22-year-old several weeks to put pen to paper.
"There was no reason for me to rush into it. I went away and had a think about last season and what I want to do next season and I think it was the best thing to take my time in signing the new contract," said Phillips, who is now tied to the club until the summer of 2014.
"I want to try and cement a first-team place, that's my main objective. I want to push on as much as I can. I spoke to Gary (Rowett) at the end of last season about his plans and it all seemed good.
"The prospect of playing for the club again was a big factor in signing the new contract. I still feel as though I have something to prove here, that's the main thing for me."
Phillips has made 80 appearances for Burton since joining the club in 2009 following his release from Stoke.
