Burton caretaker boss Gary Rowett had mixed emotions after Dagenham's late equaliser snatched a 1-1 draw at Victoria Road.
Jacques Maghoma gave the visitors the lead shortly after half-time but Brian Woodall fired home with two minutes remaining. "It's a well-earned point but it realistically should have been a well-earned three points," Rowett said. "We had a game plan. We knew we were going to keep it tight. We just need a little bit more quality in the final third, but at least we created chances. If we had just had a little more killer instinct we could have finished the game. "We've set the weekend up with a point, we wanted all three. The players are disappointed and I'm glad they are disappointed, I'm glad that's where we are at. We're disappointed to draw away at Dagenham. Would we have said that a few weeks ago? Probably not. "At the moment we are not as free-scoring as we can be, but we're keeping it tight and we'll keep taking 1-0's and 1-1's until the end of the season rather than losing, where we might score two goals but concede three or four."
