Richie Barker hopes a creditable 14th place finish in npower League One will make summer recruits easier to come by for Bury.
Barker is hoping for positive news on the fresh contracts offered to Mike Grella, Andrai Jones and Luke McCarthy last week before delving into the transfer market.
"Our season has been a bit of a rollercoaster," he told the Manchester Evening News. "We've been great at times, but not at others. We have to make sure those bumpy rides aren't as bumpy.
"In terms of attracting new players, finishing 13 points above the drop zone will help us."
Giles Coke, Ashley Eastham, David Amoo, Nathan Clarke, Lateef Elford-Alliyu and Jonathan Bond all spent time on loan at Gigg Lane this term and Barker will keep tabs on their respective situations at their parent clubs.
He added: "A few of them have contracts running out, so we'll just have to see what happens. We'll be pursuing one or two."
