Shakers wait on Healy clearance

Bury expect David Healy to be available for his debut when they travel to Coventry.

Northern Ireland international striker Healy penned a one-year deal at Gigg Lane on Thursday, but the club must receive international clearance from Scotland following his release by Rangers at the end of last season. Another new arrival set for action is midfielder Shane Byrne after the 19-year-old agreed to move from Leicester on a two year-contract earlier this week. Byrne made 15 appearances for Bury before injury curtailed a loan spell last season. Veteran centre-back Efe Sodje serves the final game of a three-match ban dating back to his red card in the Capital One Cup defeat to Middlesbrough, while captain Steven Schumacher is also banned having been sent off for two bookable offences in Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat at Doncaster. David Worrall will be unavailable for two to three weeks after suffering soft muscle damage around the ankle in midweek.
