Bluebirds ace needs surgery

Cardiff have revealed that Joe Ledley needs surgery on a finger and will be on the sidelines for up to a month.

The Welsh international picked up a dislocated finger in Saturday's win over Crystal Palace, a game in which he scored the winner, and the Bluebirds' medical team have decided that he needs an operation.

The surgery will take place on Tuesday and the club confirmed the blow by stating Ledley is unlikely to play again until the middle of December.

Ledley is now set to miss at least six games for the Bluebirds, including the Championship derby clash with Swansea at the Liberty Stadium on November 30.
