Malky Mackay is delighted with Cardiff's four-point haul from their opening two games after they were held to a goalless draw at Brighton.

The Bluebirds began the season with a 1-0 home win over Huddersfield and Mackay is particularly pleased his side have started with two clean sheets. "What it's all about is consistency, and scoring goals and keeping clean sheets gives you that. We can certainly build on the start we have made," he said. "It is a solid start and the quality additions we have made to the squad has certainly helped. For the neutral this was an entertaining 0-0 draw, it was an even contest and the correct result." Brighton took four points off Cardiff last season and Mackay recognised this was a stern test for his side in their first away league match of the season. He added: "It is always a difficult place to come. Brighton keep the ball and if you don't address that you will be chasing around."
