Double bid on cards
Cardiff City, 11:42, February 1, 2010 ,
Cardiff are preparing themselves for offer for their top stars with Ross McCormack and Michael Chopra both linked with moves.
Bluebirds stars McCormack and Chopra are wanted by Celtic and Ipswich respectively and the worry is that any decent offer would be difficult to turn down.
Chairman Peter Ridsdale claims Ipswich were talking about a player other than Chopra and that they have no official bid from Celtic for McCormack.
"Ipswich were talking about a completely different player and were discussing a loan move for him," Ridsdale told Walesonline.
"I've not had a bid for Chopra and I'm unaware that Roy has been talking of any renewed interest in him.
"With regards to McCormack, again I've had no official bid from Celtic... or from anyone for any of our players, for that matter.
"I can't say for certain what may or may not happen on Monday, because I would need a crystal ball for that.
"It never ceases to amaze me, though, how clubs do leave any offers until the very last day, considering medicals have to be undertaken and personal terms agreed.
"We're not planning to sell anyone, we're looking to push for the Premier League with the team we have.
"But I've always stated that every player is for sale, as the club is. It's just a question of the price.
"The difference between three years ago and today is that back then we had to accept offers for £300,000. Today, it's more between £3m and £5m."
