McPhail frustrated by draws
Stephen McPhail admits Cardiff's habit of drawing matches has hindered their progress in the npower Championship this season.
The Bluebirds currently sit sixth in the table, with three games remaining this term, following their 1-0 victory at Barnsley on Saturday. But the Welsh outfit could have already consolidated a play-off spot but for a run of five draws in their last seven outings. And midfielder McPhail has conceded failure to win matches by the odd goal has been a problem, although he is confident he and his team-mates can still secure a top-six berth - starting with success against Derby on Tuesday. He told BBC Sport: "We've drawn too many games. We've dominated games and given silly, sloppy goals away at the end. We want to put that to bed and try and get three points on Tuesday. "We've just got to keep going. They are massive games at this stage of the season. Everyone seems to be playing for positions and points. "We are no different. We've got to keep plugging away. The lads that have been here before know what it's about. We've got three massive games (and) we've got to get points on the board and hopefully that will see us over the line."
