Players praised by boss
Cardiff City, 11:12, January 20, 2010 ,
Cardiff boss Dave Jones was full of praise for his side after they battled through their FA Cup replay with Bristol City.
It was an own goal which brought about the win after Michael Chopra's cross was turned into his own net by Robins full-back Bradley Orr to set up a clash with Leicester in the next round of the competition.
Jones said: "I felt we could have got our noses in front in the first half but it was a good all-round performance and we deserved the victory.
"We have had a virus in the camp for the last week or so and many of the players are breathing heavy but hopefully we are coming to the end of it. Michael Chopra was physically sick during the match and other players are suffering in the dressing room.
"Everyone put a shift in tonight and we will get them up and running on Thursday because we have another tough match on the weekend, but full credit to my lads after playing three games in six days.
"The FA Cup is the best competition in the world and it put this club on the world stage when we reached the final.
"Leicester are a good side and it will be another difficult match but we will be ready for them."
