Celtic's latest signing Efe Ambrose says he is harboring hopes of making his debut against Benfica after his work permit arrived.
The £1.2million signing from Israel was finally granted a work permit on Monday having had to fly to Turkey to complete the paperwork with the UK Border Agency.
Ambrose has now flown to Israel to collect his belongings before returning to Glasgow, where he hopes Neil Lennon will pitch him straight into the action against Benfica in the first of their Champions League group stages encounters.
"I am packing my luggage and ready to board the plane with my wife and baby to Scotland," Ambrose told Goal.com.
"I am leaving Israel on time to see if I can still gate crash into Celtic's Champions League squad for Wednesday."
