Bhoys seal Forster deal
Celtic, 17:15, August 24, 2010 ,
Celtic have signed Newcastle United's 22-year-old goalkeeper Fraser Forster on a season-long-loan deal.
The Hoops have been linked with various goalkeepers throughout the current transfer window with the likes of David James and Shay Given both been suggested as possible targets for the Parkhead club.
However Celtic boss Neil Lennon has decided to sign Forster on a loan deal as the club look to increase the competition between the sticks.
He said: "He's a big boy, he's come highly recommended.
"His age is the only thing going against him because otherwise he's all the qualities you look for."
Celtic have had a busy summer making a number of signings to boost competition for places in the squad.
The Bhoys have got off to a strong start, winning their first two matches against Inverness CT and St Mirren in the SPL and they will be looking to continue that form as they look to win the title back from rivals Rangers.
