Blues target a happy Bhoy

Celtic, 12:06, August 25, 2008 ,

Birmingham may have to look elsewhere as target Bobo Balde says he is happy at Celtic despite being transfer-listed at Parkhead.

Blues boss Alex McCleish has confirmed he wants to bring Balde to St Andrews but the player's latest statement suggests he will remain in Glasgow.
Balde has a year remaining on his current deal at Celtic but has been made available on a free transfer as he does not fit into manager Gordon Strachan's plans.
But Balde is keen to extend his stay and has spoken of his love for the club.
"I love the fans, the Scottish people and the Scottish league. I love the club, I adore the club," Balde told the News of the World.
"My wish is to sign another two years at Celtic. But that will be hard if I don't fit into the coach's plans. You never know in life, things can change.
"If they don't need me it's up to them to let me know."
Balde came close to joining Wolves earlier in the summer but failed to agree personal terms with the Molineux outfit.
