Celtic's proposed January loan move for Barcelona playmaker Jeffren Suarez has been scuppered by injury.
The Catalan giants had hoped to give the 21-year-old some valuable first-team experience with a loan move till the summer, and Celtic had been looking at taking him to Parkhead, with Everton and Wigan also interested.
However, the Venezuelan winger suffered a thigh injury during the 1-1 draw with Kuwait side Kazma Sporting following the success in the World Club Championship and has now been ruled out until February.
