Celts new boy's eastern promise

Celtic, 12:09, December 14, 2009 ,

Celtic have signed South Korean midfielder Ki Sung Yueng on a four-year contract in a deal believed to be worth around £2million.

Ki has been granted a work permit and is set to start training with his new team-mates towards the ends of this month, with the 20-year-old not able to play for the Hoops until January.
The Asian young player of the year has played 17 times for his country and has described his move to Celtic Park as "a dream come true".
Tony Mowbray is certainly pleased the new arrival, telling the club's website: "He is a player who has the potential to make an impact at Celtic.
'We have watched the player in action already and believe that he has some real qualities. He is a young man, but someone who we believe has the ability and character to do well for the club."
