Celts vow to keep Hooper
Celtic boss Neil Lennon is 'pretty confident' of keeping Gary Hooper during the transfer window despite bids being made by Norwich.
The Canaries have failed with at least two bids for the striker, who has rejected the offer of a new contract at Parkhead, and are expected to make another one in the coming days.
Hooper grabbed another brace as Celtic beat Dundee United 4-0 last night and speaking after the game Lennon says they are doing all they can to keep hold at least until the summer.
"Norwich came in with an improved offer, if you can call it that. It was rejected immediately," Lennon revealed. "In terms of his contract, that has been on the table since October and there has been no improvement on that offer but we feel it is a very good offer.
"But we respect Gary and his representatives' decision on that. That may change, we hope it does but I am pretty confident that on the 1st of February Gary will be a Celtic player which is what we all want."
