New signing Anthony Stokes thought his chances of joining Celtic had gone but thinks the Hoops now have a "better player".
The former Sunderland frontman rejected the chance to join the team he supported as a boy three years ago, but has now finally made the switch to Parkhead.
Stokes joins from Hibs in a deal believed to be worth £1.2million, penning a four-year-old deal with the Hoops, having scored 23 times for the Edinburgh club last season.
The 22-year-old admitted: "When things were going badly at Sunderland, I was thinking about it and thought I probably did make the wrong decision, but I was young and immature and it's just one of those things.
"It was a good experience down there in the Premiership and hopefully it means I will come here a better player."
