Mowbray adamant over transfers

Celtic, 14:07, December 17, 2009 ,

Tony Mowbray insisted there are no money worries for Celtic and that he will not be allowing any of his players to go on the cheap.

Former Parkhead boss Gordon Strachan has been linked with a raid on the club next month, having targeted the likes of Gary Caldwell, Scott McDonald and Barry Robson to strengthen his Middlesbrough squad.
Despite the speculation and the fact that Celtic have been knocked out of Europe, Mowbray insists that it will take massive offers for him to be even tempted into letting any of his players go.
Mowbray said: "This club doesn't have financial issues to deal with. Players will only leave for football reasons unless we get Man City-sized money and have to consider it.
"It's true that every player has his price but nobody will go from Celtic unless I say they can go.
"But people can speculate all they like about individuals. Nobody will be going from Celtic Park on the cheap.
"And if anyone is sold I know I'll get the money back to plough into the team."
