Celtic, 14:37, June 13, 2009 ,
Celtic have been given permission to speak to West Brom boss Tony Mowbray after agreeing to pay £2m in compensation.
The Bhoys made their move last week but have taken until Saturday to accept the Baggies' terms as per Mowbray's contract at The Hawthorns.
A statement on West Brom's official website read: "Celtic have been given permission to approach Albion manager Tony Mowbray after the clubs agreed in principle to a £2million compensation package.
"The package was announced today by Albion chairman Jeremy Peace following talks with Celtic and Mowbray.
"Celtic would also pay an additional compensation figure for the services of Albion assistant manager Mark Venus and first-team coach Peter Grant."
Celtic are looking to replace Gordon Strachan who left Parkhead at the end of last season.
