Premier League pair eye Hooper

West Ham and QPR are reportedly interested in Celtic star Gary Hooper, but Southampton's interest in the striker has cooled.

Parkhead boss Neil Lennon is desperate to keep hold of the forward but Celtic's resolve could be tested by QPR and West Ham. Speculation suggests the two Premier League sides are both preparing bids of around £7million to try and convince Hooper to swap the SPL for England. Southampton did have a long-standing interest in the frontman but the newly-promoted side are believed to have dropped their interest in Hooper after seeing a bid for Burnley's Jay Rodriguez accepted. Meanwhile, Celtic have confirmed they will take on Spanish giants Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly in Philadelphia on 11 August
