Tranmere Rovers defender Danny Holmes admits he would welcome a move to Celtic, who are reportedly leading the race for his signature.
Holmes impressed for the League One side last season and is expected to move on in the summer following his displays for Tranmere. The likes of Liverpool and Rangers have been credited with an interest, but it is thought Celtic are set to win the battle for the full-back's services. Holmes, 23, has one-year left on his Tranmere deal but the defender admits he would welcome the chance to join Celtic this summer, if the two clubs can agree a fee. "At present I am a Tranmere Rovers player and will continue to give 100 per cent to the club," Holmes told the Daily Record. "Like any other player I want to play at the highest level and if a club as big as Celtic want me and agree with Tranmere Rovers, then I'll be delighted to move to Scotland."
