Blackpool make play-off final
Blackpool are through to the Championship play-off final following a 3-2 aggregate semi-final win over Birmingham.
Ian Holloway's side held on despite conceding two second-half goals at St Andrew's to seal their place in a lucrative play-off final against West Ham on May 19. The Tangerines took a 1-0 lead to the West Midlands following last week's win at Bloomfield Road and Scott Dobbie and Matt Phillips added to the tally the either side of half time. Chris Hughton's Birmingham tried to make a late comeback but goals from Nikola Zigic and Curtis Davies were not enough to turn the tie around, leaving the Blues in the Championship for a second year running. Blackpool boss Ian Holloway told his club's website: "I think the lads deserve every bit of credit they're going to get. "I can't tell you the praise I've got for my lads, I think it's all about them implementing what we're talking about. They're just an amazing group."
