Tony Mowbray says Middlesbrough are "on course" for promotion following their 1-0 win at Brighton.
Marvin Emnes scored the only goal as Mowbray celebrated his 100th game in charge of Boro with victory. The three points move Middlesbrough up to seventh in the Championship, one place outside the play-offs on goal difference, and Mowbray believes they are in a good position to meet their targets for the season. "I think we're on course," he said. "There's an intensity for us there to be able ultimately to say we've had a decent start to the season. "If you could beat Hull, you'd have four victories, a draw and a defeat at home, which isn't too bad in anybody's books." Mowbray admitted it would not be an easy ride when his side host Steve Bruce's Hull on Tuesday night. "But it's a difficult game. They've started the season reasonably well, they're competing around us with a similar amount of points and we'll try and get our noses in front of them."
