Burnley say they will do all they can to keep striker Charlie Austin following speculation linking him with the Premier League.
The former Swindon star has been in spectacular form this season, already netting 15 times, and with just 18 months remaining on his contract its been rumoured that the club could look to offload him rather than let him leave on a free. Both Newcastle and Aston Villa have been linked with moves for the player but Clarets chairman John Banaszkiewicz says the Turf Moor side are desperate to keep hold of him. "Charlie's come a long way, he's a big asset for us and he has helped us secure some vital points this season," he said. "We've had no approaches from any clubs. We would very much like to keep him at Burnley. He seems to be very focused on scoring goals for us."
