Nigel Clough says he was pleased for Derby's travelling supporters at Wolves on Saturday and hopes the late goal gives them a boost.
Theo Robinson struck deep into injury time to rescue a deserved point for the Rams at Molineux after Kevin Doyle had given the hosts a first-half lead.
The 1-1 draw was encouraging for Derby after a disappointing start to the campaign, which had yielded just one point at home to newly-promoted Sheffield Wednesday.
"The fans appreciated the performance. They would have been as despondent as us had we not got the equaliser," said Derby boss Clough.
"So as much as we are elated, the late goal is important for the fans going into the home game against Watford on Saturday.
"They will hopefully turn up at Pride Park Stadium with a spring in their step after seeing our performance against Wolves."
The Rams were backed by 1,400 fans in the Black Country.
