Nottingham Forest boss Sean O'Driscoll has called for patience over the fitness of new loan signing Jermaine Jenas.

The England international returned to the club where he began his career last week but missed out on selection for Sunday's match against local rivals Derby. The midfielder has missed most of the last few seasons through injury and O'Driscoll says he is unsure when the Tottenham man will be ready to be involved on a match-day. "He's not played a game for Tottenham (this season)," he said. "He's got to be match fit, though, that's the balancing act. "Do you play him and he's not match fit and he gets injured again because he's not quite ready for the hurly burly of the Championship? So it's a balancing act, I'm afraid."
