Foxes confirm Bamba exit

Leicester have confirmed that defender Sol Bamba has joined Turkish club Trabzonspor for an undisclosed fee.

The Ivorian moved to the King Power Stadium in January 2011 from SPL side Hibernian as the Foxes looked to build a team capable of winning promotion. However, it wasn't to be as the East Midlanders struggled for consistency having brought in a number of other new faces last summer and they eventually finished ninth in the Championship. Bamba had reportedly grown tired of second-tier football and Leicester boss Nigel Pearson has agreed to let him leave the club for Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, for whom he'll have the chance to play in the Europa League with next term.
