Dougie Freedman says there has been no contact between Crystal Palace and West Ham over the signing of Sam Baldock.
The 23-year-old striker is surplus to requirements at Upton Park following the Hammers' promotion to the Premier League and is being linked with a host of Championship clubs.
But Freedman says Palace have not made any attempt to sign Baldock, despite admitting the player has some quality.
He told the Croydon Advertiser: "Sam is a very good young player, but we have not made any contact with West Ham."
The Palace boss also denied rumours that he is trying to sign Chris Martin on a permanent basis after impressing on a loan spell from Norwich last season.
"He did very well for us, but nothing has happened there at all," he said.
