Hard work the key for Hull
Hull boss Steve Bruce has told his players to roll up their sleeves more often as they look to mount a serious promotion charge.
The Tigers have endured an indifferent start to the Championship campaign - with three defeats following three victories ahead of their hard-fought 1-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday on October 6.
The Hillsborough triumph owed a lot to hard work and Bruce wants to see more of the same as Hull attempt to keep pace with the early-season pace-setters.
"You can point to a lot of things, but I feel as though we did our jobs against Sheffield Wednesday," Bruce said.
"We've been great to watch so far, and that'll never change with me, but sometimes in this division you need to roll your sleeves up and be what the game is about."
Hull have an opportunity to build on the win in South Yorkshire when they entertain struggling Ipswich on Saturday.
