Blackpool boss Ian Holloway has hailed the performances of Angel Martinez following the Spaniard's recent run of fine form.
Martinez joined the Seasiders from Espanyol in the summer but initially struggled to break into the team, making just six appearances before the turn of the year. However, in the last few months he has shown a massive improvement as the Lancashire club have maintained their play-off charge and Holloway says he now sees the midfielder as a key member of the side. "He's growing into the country, he's learning to speak English and he's settled down now," Blackpool boss Holloway told BBC Radio Lancashire. "Ludovic [Sylvestre] is really unlucky but I'd be crazy to leave out Angel. He's almost the first name on the team-sheet at the moment."
