New Derby captain Richard Keogh was delighted to come through his first 45 minutes for the Rams in Wednesday's 2-1 defeat by Mansfield.
A first-half penalty from Theo Robinson was cancelled out by strikes from Matt Green and Lindon Meikle, but boss Nigel Clough will have been pleased with the workout in their first friendly of pre-season. Keogh was one of 11 changes at half-time and was pleased to get back out on the pitch, despite the result. "I think the last game I played in was April, so it was important to get back into a match environment," the defender told the club's official website. "It was good to get out there, pull on a Derby shirt and play 45 minutes - I was pleased with certain aspects of my game. "Admittedly, there was also some rustiness, which we need to cut out, but overall it was a good workout and there were a lot of positives."
