Burnley defender Daniel Lafferty rued a missed opportunity after a second-half collapse handed Blackpool a comprehensive 4-0 win.
The Clarets had the better of the first-half chances at Bloomfield Road on Saturday but struggled in front of goal and went into the break one down courtesy of a Stephen Dobbie free-kick.
Gary Taylor-Fletcher doubled the lead two minutes into the second half before Lee Grant gifted Stephen Crainey a rare goal. Substitute Nouha Dicko compounded a miserable afternoon for Burnley with a fourth in the 81st minute.
"We could have prevented a lot of the goals, but we switched off, myself included," said Lafferty.
"I think if we could have scored in the first half that would have made things a bit more interesting in the second half. I think we could have gone on and won it."
