New Cardiff goalkeeper Joe Lewis says he will do all he can to replace David Marshall as the club's first-choice stopper this season.

Marshall, who was an unused substitute in Scotland's 3-1 victory over Australia, has been handed the No 1 jersey and looks set to start in tomorrow's Championship opener against newly-promoted Huddersfield at the Cardiff City Stadium.
However, Lewis, who joined the Bluebirds from Peterborough this summer, is determined to force his way into the reckoning. He made his debut in Tuesday's 2-1 Capital One Cup defeat at Northampton.
"My job is to do all I can to break into the team and I believe I can do that. Marshy wants to keep his place and I want to take it off him," said Lewis.
"People don't always fully understand the position of goalkeeper and our mentality. We are rivals for one position - and still the best of pals off the pitch."
