Burnley midfielder Chris McCann has urged the Clarets to move on from Eddie Howe with a derby victory over Blackpool.
The clash with the Seasiders is Burnley's first match since Howe quit the club to rejoin Bournemouth last week. Terry Pashley will take temporary charge at Turf Moor this evening, with the Burnley board still searching for Howe's successor.
The departure of the young manager came as a shock to many of the playing staff. But McCann insisted the Clarets are now simply focused on collecting three points against rivals Blackpool.
"We've said in the changing room we can't afford to dwell on the past," he said.
"It's been and gone now. We can move forward as a team to a massive game against Blackpool. Hopefully with a big crowd we can get a positive result."
