Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston says boss Ian Holloway will use last season's play-off heartache as motivation next term.

The Seasiders impressed in their first season back in the Championship and looked set to replicate their memorable play-off success of two years earlier, only to fall to West Ham in the Wembley showpiece. Holloway spoke emotionally following the defeat in May, with some Blackpool fans fearing the enigmatic manager could be set for a summer exit. However, the former QPR and Leicester chief will lead the Tangerines into next season and is ready to right the wrongs of the previous one. "I think he is as firmly focused as he ever has been about what we now need to do and how we need to do it," said Oyston. "That is brilliant for us because it just means we can hit the ground running."
