Palace tie down Williams
Eighteen-year-old midfielder Jonathan Williams has signed a new five-year contract with Crystal Palace following a successful season.
Williams made his debut for Palace in August and has since made 18 appearances for the club, impressing the Selhurst Park management during his first full season at the club. He told the Eagles' official website: "It feels great to have signed a deal with the club I've grown up playing for. "Palace is a major part of my life. I've had time to get stronger physically and psychologically as well since I've been injured." Williams, who is also a Wales Under-21 international, made six assists this season in injury-ridden campaign for the youngster and is now tied down until 2017, adding to his deal which was due to expire in 2015.
