Leicester boss Nigel Pearson says he will not rush centre-back Zak Whitbread into action, despite mounting injury problems.

Pearson is short of defensive options and saw young central defender Liam Moore fracture his cheekbone in Tuesday's 4-0 Capital Cup win at Torquay. The club are waiting for the results of a scan.
Moore had been partnering captain Wes Morgan at the heart of the City defence, with Sean St Ledger ruled out of the start of the campaign with a knee injury.
Pearson admitted Whitbread, who has not featured in pre-season, is nearing a comeback but he is reluctant to take any chances.
"He is close but when he is back I want him to stay fit," said the City manager.
"I am prepared to wait a little bit longer to get him in the right situation. I am sure he has played at this stage before but I want to make sure he is absolutely spot on."
